Welcome caravans, campers and hikers

Kilpisjärvi village
Kilpisjärvi is a tiny arctic village located in northwestern Lapland, about 400 kilometers above Arctic Circle. It is surrounded by the highest peaks of Finland, including Mount Halti (1324 m) on the border of Finland and Norway. There are about one hundred permanent residents in the village.

Welcome caravans, campers and hikers
There are approximately 100 winter season places as well as electric hookups and tent places in our camping site. The maintenance building’s services include saunas for men and women, toilets, a kitchen and a laundry room.

Seasonal places
Our seasonal places are a favourite among Norwegian visitors. Many of our seasonal place guests have enjoyed their stay for several years and have built year-round side buildings to their trailers, suitable for Kilpisjärvi’s climate. During the summer, many of the seasonal place guests travel with their trailers and the side buildings are left on site.

Electric hookups
There are electric hookups in the vicinity of the restaurant as well as a few places among the seasonal places. During the summer, there are some additional electric hookups available in the seasonal place area. The daily price includes the maintenance building's services together with sauna turns.

Tent places
There is space for about ten tents in the area of the holiday village, and wooden bases as well as dining areas have been built for them. The daily price includes the maintenance building’s services together with sauna turns. There are two campfire sites – one lean-to and a BBQ hut.

Unna cottages
If you left your tent at home, don’t worry. During the summer season, we offer
accommodation in two ascetic log cabins, which were originally built for the founding
couple’s grandchildren. The cute log cabins are at high demand during the summer season.

They are equipped with two beds, pillows, duvets and electricity. The daily price includes the maintenance building’s services together with sauna turns.

At Tundrea, it is good – to just be.
