Our fishing adventure takes place on the vast Inari Lake and its surrounding rivers, Kaamasjoki and Kielajoki, which are renowned for their abundant fish stocks and breathtaking scenery. As the end of summer approaches, the mighty trout of Inari and grayling from Muddusjärvi head towards the upper reaches of Kielajoki to spawn, offering anglers the chance to battle these magnificent fish, some weighing over 13 kilos.
Kielajoki is also home to a thriving grayling population, which has been known to reach over 4.5 kilos. Every summer, anglers are thrilled to catch numerous graylings weighing over 2 kilos. Skilled fly fishermen can also cast their lines for delicious char in the river pools, which can grow to several kilos. And for an extra adrenaline rush, keep an eye out for the mighty pike, also known as the "Jänkäkoira", which can test your line.
