Fried Vendace in a Pan – Recipe

🇫🇮 Wild Food from Finland – A Taste You’ll Never Forget
🔥 Fried Vendace in a Pan: A Classic Fish Dish from the North
Finland is a wild food paradise. From our clean forests and pristine lakes come flavors that define Finnish culinary identity: wild berries, mushrooms, reindeer, game – and of course, freshwater fish.
🎣 One of the most beloved traditional fish dishes in Finland is pan-fried vendace (in Finnish: muikku). Caught from clean northern lakes, these small, silver fish are lightly coated in rye flour and crisped to perfection in a pan – traditionally served with creamy mashed potatoes and tartar sauce.
This is everyday luxury straight from Arctic nature, and something you must try on your next visit to Finland!
