Grilled or charcoal-grilled perch are a true classic in Finnish summer cuisine. They are easy to prepare, flavorful, and perfect as a main course for a summer meal. Perch can be served with a variety of side dishes, such as potato salad, roasted potatoes, or grilled vegetables.

Here is a recipe for grilled perch:

Ingredients:

  • 4 serving-sized perch
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Scale and gut the perch. Season the perch with salt and place the fish in a grill basket. Cook the perch on a grill, open fire, or charcoal grill.

  2. Brush the cooked perch with oil dressing.

  3. Serve the grilled perch with potato salad or potatoes.

Tips:

  • You can marinate the perch in advance for extra flavor.
  • If you are grilling the perch in a foil pan, add a little water or lemon juice to the pan to keep the fish moist.
  • You can also grill other vegetables with the perch, such as peppers, onions, or zucchini.
  • Perch are also well-suited for baking in the oven. Bake the perch at 200 degrees Celsius for about 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.

Enjoy your delicious grilled perch!
