In the winter of Paljakka, the electric fat bike is a great vehicle with which you can experience the wonderful nature comfortably and lightly, despite the height differences of terrain in Paljakka. In winter, you can use the trails designed for fatbiking.

Cross-country skiing

Paljakka’s cross-country ski tracks of varying length and difficulty are in excellent condition throughout the winter season.

Downhill skiing and snowboarding

Paljakka offers you the longest, highest and snowiest ski slopes in Arctic Lakeland Kainuu. Paljakka Ski Center offers experiences for all level of skiers and snowboarders. Paljakka has very easy (green), easy (blue), medium (red) and very difficult (black) slops. Longest ski run is 1340 meters long.

In Paljakka you can do ice fishing on the lakes in the area (including even the lake on the shore of which Lake Resort Paljakka is located) and in Paljakka Fishing Park. Our specialty is the igloo-shaped. snow-white tent called Forellibaari where you fish while sitting comfortably in a camping armchair.

Walking routes and attractions

Treat yourself with a walk in Paljakka’s nature and nearby. One unique aspect of Paljakka is its prepared walking routes in the midst of winter forest. The routes start near Lake Resort and walking is an excellent way to get to know Paljakka winter better.
